Busy As A Bee

Gosh time gets away from me so quickly.  Yesterday I finally had time to sit down and stamp.  A few weeks ago I sliced off the end of my thumb with a mandolin slicer and have not been able to stamp or type very well.  If you have one always use the guard.

I created this card using Power Poppy's new set called Good Thinking: Renewal Stamp Set.  I stamped the sentiment onto a tag and then crocheted my circle and added a button and felt leaves.  Easy as can be.  Not sure why it took me all morning to come up with this but it was time well spent.  I love all the sentiments in this set.  Renewal was the perfect name for it.

I have been doing some outside gardening too.  This is a little refurbished projected I just completed in time for the deep freeze.  The flowers are not quite this pretty anymore.  My hubby found the chair at the Restore shop. He obliged me and cut a hole for a pot and I painted and painted.  It took me 3 coats to cover it.

It looks pretty snazzy on my front porch.  I love Pinterest.  It has so many great projects.  My dad had given me one like this 15 years ago but the chair gave out.
Hope you all have a blessed Easter.

Powerpoppy Blog Hop

Today is finally the day you have all patiently waited for.  The release of all of Power Poppy's new sets.  You will absolutely love them. Marcella Hawley has designed some amazing stamp sets and you will want to head on over to the Power Poppy store to get your sets today.   I created two cards for you today.

My first card is created using the newly released set called Azaleas.  It is so beautiful and a dream to color.  I stamped the azaleas on two different pieces of cardstock and then colored it with my Copics.  It is so much prettier in real life but I am having trouble with either my camera or blogger when I upload my pictures.

This second set uses the also newly released Good Thinking Renewal.  It is also sporting a few "poppies" in honor of Power Poppies first release.  I found a shadow box on the Silhouette site so thought it would be perfect for this release.  The sentinment is from Good Thinking Renewal.

Here is a look at all the new sets available starting today:

Now I am sure you have noticed that the uber talented stamper Dina Kowal is joining the Bloom Brigade.  I can't wait to see her creations along with all the following stampers.  Hop along with us to see what's bloomin:

Good Thinking Renewal

With on-trend typography designed by Marcella Hawley, Good Thoughts: Renewal will end your search for "just the right" rejuvenating words! This all-sentiment set measures 4" by 6" and is loaded with 16 images. Take a deep breath in, exhale out and stamp up some serenity. Now doesn't that just feel better?

I have always wanted to experiment with stamping on canvas.  For my card today I found a canvas tag at my local craft store.  I stamped this awesome sentiment onto it and then heat set it.  I made my own rolled flowers out of burlap ribbon and added some bling and lace.  This set has so many great sentiments.  This one is my favorite.
Today the Bloom Brigade is stamping out some serenity and they'd love to share a bit with you!

Azaleas

Sigh....isn't this just fabulous.  I loved coloring this image.  There are so many possibilities.  The sentiments are my favorite part.  Azaleas always remind me of balmy ocean breezes and beach houses.  I am so ready for summer and this set gets me in the mood for long hot balmy days.  We have lots of azaleas in North Carolina. This 4" by 6" set was illustrated by hand with a whole lotta love by Marcella Hawley.

I loved coloring this image.  I colored it with Copics and distressed the edges.  I used many different colors to achieve the colors I wanted.

Check out what the rest of the Bloom Brigade has in store for you..

Springtime Love

Our first Power Poppy set, hot off the presses, may have you hearing the alluring tones of a French accordion and whispering Ooh La La. Springtime Love  is in the air and this set embodies romance -- with passionate petals and love-laced sentiments. Illustrated by Marcella Hawley as she went in for the kiss, this beauty of a set measures 4" by 6".

I love the florals in this set.  For my card I stamped out my image twice and then colored and cut out my rose and popped it up.  Don't you just love the sentiment.  It stamps like a dream too.  This just breathes spring to me.  This set will be released soon.  I know I will use it over and over again.

Now that you've been swept away with that free-feeling Springtime Love, why not traipse around to take in some more? The Bloom Brigade has plenty to share!
