Power Poppy's Heaven and Nature Sing

Welcome to day 4 of the Power Poppy Release.  Today features some of my favorite things to color. BIRDS and FLOWERS.  This set is so beautiful.

I stamped out my images twice and watercolored them on hot pressed watercolor paper.  I cut out each bird and popped them up.  Watercoloring the sets this week was so much fun.  I gave my little birds some red.  I thought it was perfect for a festive holiday card.  This set along with all the other sets will be available for sale tomorrow over on the Power Poppy Blog. This specific set will be HERE.

Power Poppy's O Holy Night

Welcome to day 2 of Power Poppies new release.  This set is going to "wow" you.  I love love love all the detail Marcella added to this set.

I got out my watercolors again this week to color up this set.  I stamped it with Stazon onto HotPressed watercolor paper.  I then used Tim Holtz reinkers to color up the trees and create the sky. I was trying to create a night scene.  We always head to our little church in the woods  for a candlelight service on Christmas Eve.  One of my favorite days of the year.  I added some tiny diamonds for my sky to look like stars.  I love this set.  Did I say that already..I really do.

Power Poppy Bough Wow Wow

So excited to introduce the continuation of Power Poppy's Happiest Holiday Collection Release 2.

This set is so beautiful.  I loved coloring up the bell, holly and ornaments.  I chose some blue, red, and green Copics. I kept the background very simple so that this stamp could speak for itself.  As you can see from the above graphics there are two gorgeous stamps full of coloring possibilities.

I embossed the back panel with an old embossing folder that needed some love.  I added double ribbons and a tiny snowflake and bling.

Power Poppy Friday Challenge

It's that time again..will you be our next Peep of the Week?

I decided to try something just a little different this week.  I dug out and dusted off my watercolors.  After seeing Marcella's gorgeous watercoloring HERE last week I wanted to see if I remembered how.  I used Tim Holtz's reinkers. I also highlighted with some Stampin UP Markers. I always use hot pressed watercolor paper as I feel it holds the water on top longer and gives you more spreadability.

I chose the newly released set called Bottle Brush Holiday. Marcella has me totally in love with bottle brush trees now too.  It brings back memories of Christmas traditions of long ago.  I really like these old fashioned glass bulbs.
Check out what a few of the Bloom Brigade also have for you..

Hope You Can Cling To Smash

I am finally carving out just a little bit of time to play in the Hope You Can Cling To challenge over on Splitcoaststampers. Today Power Poppy's own designer Julie is the hostess.

Her challenge is to "Get Smooshed".  In the past 15 years, more than 200,000 breast cancer deaths have been averted thanks to that ground-breaking test we know and love -- the mammogram. With this challenge, help spread the word! All you need to do is try one of these fun Splitcoast tutorials (Ink,Spray,Smash or Acrylic Smash), make a card to inspire others and encourage those women you love to "smoosh or smash" and get that annual mammogram!

I chose Beate's tutorial Acrylic Smash.

I used an acetate sheet on the back and stamped it with the Power Poppy's Frosted Gingerbread background stamp that comes with this set.  I used light pink acrylic paint and stamped on the acetate with Stazon ink.  I stamped the sentiment and cut out the word HOPE. I thought it was perfect for October.

Head on over the SCS for all the details.  The master thread is HERE
